Sudden throbbing, burning sensation in both sides of the lower back? Also, sharp pain under the right ribcage?

So i'm lying in bed and all of a sudden it feels like somethings gonna explode in there, i was left breathless for a few moments although its now worn off slightly, I searched google but can find anything, its late at night here so medical advice via telephone is unavailable and I don't want to unnecessarily call for an ambulance. I have also had a sharp pain under my right rib cage that started a few hours ago, don't know if these are related but if somebody could suggest anything that it could be and what I can do to ease the pain until morning?
