Reasons for tiredness and short of breath?

This could be a case of sleep apnea. While sleeping, you may stop breathing for short amounts of time, not enough to kill you or do any real damage, but enough that it affects your sleep, so even though you don't wake up, your body isn't able to rest the way it is supposed to. Go see a doctor and they can set up a sleep study to find out if this is happening.
